Metso has the opportunity to act as a pioneer in the manufacture of wear parts by minimizing environmental impacts. Our foundries share the same environmental targets globally, including the reduction of electricity consumption and particulates emissions per product tonne produced, and the reduction of the total volume of waste. In addition to the environmental issues, also other manufacturing practises have been harmonized in all foundries to secure same quality standards.
